Iran to launch Friendship satellite into space

TEHRAN – Information and Communications Technology Minister Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi said on Monday that Iran’s new satellite, called Doosti (Friendship), is ready to be launched into the space.
“Soon we will have good news for the people because the Doosti satellite is ready and we are waiting for the final say of the Defense Ministry to put it into the earth’s orbit,” Azari Jahromi said as he inaugurated an ICT park in Mashad.
According to IRNA, he added the Iranian youth have built several satellites over the past couple of years.
